By Gregory Fraszczak (Mid-Autumn Festival, Tay Ninh, Sept 19, 2013)
After over two hours spent on the motorbike riding from Ho Chi Minh City, we, me and Alam, arrived in
Tây Ninh. The town greeted us with a light, short rainfall. After a few minutes the colourful towers of the temple appeared and soon we are at the main gate of the Holy See. This was my very first visit to Tay Ninh and my first meeting with Cao Đài followers. The Holy See was already packed with pilgrims walking, sitting or sleeping in any available space, all of whom had come to venerate the Mother Goddess. Smiling faces made the atmosphere joyful.

There the Caodai delegates were greeted by His Excellency Chen, Chao-Chen in his 16th floor office. After a round of tea, H.E Chen invited the delegation down to the 13th floor to a meeting room where there were about 40 participants already present. In his opening remark, H.E Chen mentioned that he had the honor to meet Cardinal Thuong Tam Thanh and the Cao Dai delegation in Japan at the Oomoto Spring Festival. In that first meeting, he felt a deep impression in his heart about Cao Dai and today, from a far away Viet Nam, the Cardinal and his delegation accepted his invitation to come to Taiwan to participate at our Tao Yuan ceremony, so it was such an honor.

Second day of the journey to Taipei (July 21st, 2013)
In the morning of July 21st, 2013, the Sacerdotal Council delegation came to visit Hsing Tian Kong Temple (Hsing Tiên Cung) which is a place to worship Guan Gong (a historical person who lived in China during the Three Kingdoms period). This temple is highly respected by Taipei residents because of its holiness. Then, the delegation visited Luang Shan Temple (literally translated in to English: Mountain Dragon Temple – This is a 300-year old Temple worshipping Her Mother Goddess). Even though it was on early Sunday morning, the two temples were crowded with people and covered by incense smoke. This indicates that Taipei residents are really devout believing in His Holiness Guan Gong and Her Holiness Mother Goddess.
