DHAKA UNIVERSITY STUDENTS, BANGLADESH, HAVE COMPLETED THE COURSE

The course "Cao Dai Religious Traditions" was taught at Dhaka University, Bangladesh, from 2005, under the supervision of Professor Mohammad Jahangir Alam until his death in 2024 while on official duty. Professor Injamam Mahbub Mojumder was subsequently appointed to continue teaching the Cao Dai course.
 
According to a recent report by Professor Mojumder, the Cao Dai religion course is taught in the second year of the Bachelor's program and is part of the courses on Eastern religious thought and tradition, code WRCH-UG205. It is a compulsory course for students.
 
This year, 2026, there are 55 students enrolled in this course.
 
The announcement regarding the Cao Dai Religious Tradition course at Dhaka University, Bangladesh, lists the course objectives as follows:
 
-The course is designed to help students understand Cao Daiism from its founding to the present day: its historical origins and its role within Vietnamese culture.
 
-Students will gain in-depth knowledge of religious beliefs and practices.
 
-Special emphasis on the theology and philosophy of Caodaism: fundamental origins, ethics, the concept of God, the oneness of humanity, and the oneness of the religion.
 
- The influence of Taoism, Confucianism, and Buddhism on Caodaism; Caodaism in modern times in Vietnam, Cambodia, Australia, and the United States.
 
According to the Academic Committee's arrangement for the 2025-2029 academic year, all students are required to enroll in the Caodaism course in their second year of the Bachelor's program. All courses are equal and under a six-semester system, with each course worth 100 points. Each academic year consists of two six-semesters, and students are required to complete eight six-semesters over four years to receive their Bachelor's degree.
