CAO DAI TAIPEI CONGREGATION ATTENDED THE 15TH CHINESE UNITED WORSHIP CEREMONY AT WEIXIN SHENGJIAO

On the morning of the New Year January 1, 2021, a delegation of 5 members of the Cao Dai Taipei Congregation, consisting of :

1. Sub-dignitary Nguyen Tuan Em, Acting Cao Dai Congregation Chief, Delegation leader

2. Sub-dignitary Ly Thi Thuy Trang - Secretary of the Congregation

3. Ms. Nguyen Thanh Tuyen, member

4. Ms. Nguyen Le Hong An, member

5. Mr. Duong Van Trinh, member

attended the 15th annual "Chinese United Worship Ceremony" at the invitation of Dr. Fiona Hsin-Fang Chang, Director, Research and Development Center for Religious Affairs, Weixin Shengjiao. The ceremony was held at the Sports University of Taiwan Stadium, Taoyuan City. It is known that this is the last Great Prayer Ceremony after 15 consecutive years held by the Weixin Shengjiao religion.

The Ceremony had a total of nearly 30,000 people in attendance, took place safely and orderly, people patiently entered the stadium under the guidance of many volunteers.

The guests included: two (2) Former Taiwanese Vice Presidents including H.E. Wu Den-yih (吳敦義 - Term 2012 - 2016), and H.E Annette Lu Hsiu-lien (呂秀蓮 - Term 2000 - 2008), officials from many ministries and departments of the Government of Taiwan, and Representatives of fellow Religions including Buddhism, Taoism, Dao Yuan, Cao Dai, Daesoon Jinrihoe, as well as professors from many Taipei Universities. As for Weixin Shengjiao, all Religious Leaders and followers from all over Taiwan also participated.

To comply with the regulations to prevent Covid 19 by the Taiwan Government, all attendees are required to undergo temperature control, washing hand with antiseptic and must wear a mask during the Ceremony.

The Ceremony took place for nearly 5 hours, in a solemn and sacred atmosphere according to the religious rituals of Weixin Shengjiao, the objective of which was to pray for all Chinese ancestors and for other peoples around the world to receive many blessings from God and Divine beings, and at the same time pray for the world to have Peace, Prosperity, with the Principle "Ten Thousand Spirits of the Heart - A World under One Roof".

At the same time, this is also an opportunity for Weixin Shengjiao to introduce the typical cultural and social features of the Chinese and Taiwanese peoples, demonstrated through performances, dragon lion dance and martial arts performed by children, who executed very skillfully and with grace.

The attendance of the Cao Dai Taipei Congregation was to strengthen mutual friendship with Weixin Shengjiao, to make exchange with other religions and to pray together for World Peace.
